These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Oikos United LLC (“Oikos United,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Fieldhand mobile application and related services (the “Service”). Please read them carefully.
By downloading, accessing, or using Fieldhand, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Fieldhand is a tool to help you record and manage farm information — fields and their boundaries, animal movements, and costs and revenues — and to view profit-and-loss figures based on the data you enter. Fieldhand works primarily on your device and can optionally sync your data to your account across devices.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service. You can use much of Fieldhand without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Fieldhand offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription, Fieldhand Pro. The free tier lets you manage up to three fields. Fieldhand Pro unlocks unlimited fields and is offered as an auto-renewing subscription:
The current price, subscription length, and features are shown in the app and in the App Store or Google Play at the time of purchase; those store listings are the authoritative source and prices may change.
Auto-renewal terms (please read): Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews at the then-current price for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings after purchase. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, not by us, and are subject to their terms. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully or for anyone else’s data without authorization; attempt to breach, probe, overload, or disrupt the Service or its security; reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service except as permitted by law; or upload malware or content that infringes others’ rights.
You retain ownership of the farm, field, and financial data you enter (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, back up, and transmit Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you. We do not sell Your Content or use it for advertising. Our handling of Your Content is described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of anything important; while we sync your data when you use an account, we are not a substitute for your own records.
The Fieldhand app, its name, logo, design, and software are owned by Oikos United LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own farm operation in accordance with these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT ACREAGE OR BOUNDARY ESTIMATES OR FINANCIAL CALCULATIONS WILL BE ACCURATE, OR THAT DATA WILL NOT BE LOST. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OIKOS UNITED LLC AND ITS OWNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) US$50. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Oikos United LLC from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of another.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6–10 and 12) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Virginia will have jurisdiction over any dispute not otherwise resolved, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere (for example, in your home jurisdiction as a consumer). We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern informally.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date and post the new version at this URL. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
If you download Fieldhand from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Oikos United LLC, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the app or its support; Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. Similar terms apply to Google Play. Your use must also comply with the applicable app-store terms of service.
